Lengkeek are a well-established loss adjusting company with extensive experience in property damage claims due to every conceivable insured cause, including large-scale calamities.

Knowledgeable
Lengkeek are ISO certified and our loss adjusters are registered with the Dutch Institute of Register Experts (NIVRE) or studying to become Registered Expert. For every case, we try to limit the extent of the damage as much as possible and also look at the possibilities of recovering damages. Lengkeek also institute proceedings for recourse if required.

For insurers
Lengkeek mainly work for insurers, but we are also asked by other parties involved to settle claims. The decision to agree to such a request will always be carefully considered.

Lengkeek are experts in the field of recourse. Our recourse experts are qualified lawyers. They perform recourse on behalf of insurers, for example.

For insurers

On the one hand, this involves recourse in cases where damages were initially investigated and estimated by Lengkeek’s loss adjusters on property insurance policies. In these cases, the recourse specialists are engaged as soon as opportunities for recourse arise. After completion of the claim handling on the property insurance, the recourse adjusters take over to recover the damage from the liable party.

Support with damage recovery.

Further investigation

For recourse work, liability notifications are taken care of and the actual recourse is further investigated and, if possible, executed. If necessary, legal proceedings are prepared. Supervision of collection actions also takes place.

Tailor made agreements

Our employees also work on behalf of parties other than insurers to recover damages from a claimant. Here too, liability claims, actual recovery from the responsible party, preparation and support in legal proceedings and help with debt collection can be provided. These activities are always carried out on the basis of individual agreements.

Engineering

Financial loss due to a change in the zoning plan

Lengkeek has years of experience in dealing with damage as a result of changes in the zoning plan. This type of damage occurs when a citizen is disproportionately affected by a zoning plan. Damage resulting from a zoning plan is, legally speaking, caused because the freedom of individual citizens is restricted. Formally, financial loss due to a change in the zoning plan results from Section 49 of the Dutch Spatial Planning Act (WRO, Wet Ruimtelijke Ordening).

Damage Assessment Committee
At the client’s request, Lengkeek’s loss adjusters can sit on a damage assessment committee. Such a committee investigates whether the applicant actually suffers damage as a result of a zoning plan measure. The committee then documents the findings in a recommendation report.

Loss compensation

One of Lengkeek’s expertise is loss compensation. Our loss adjusters assist municipalities and other government bodies in settling proceedings as soon as they are facing requests for loss compensation.

Loss compensation is compensation provided by the government if a business is disproportionately disadvantaged. Such compensation can be provided even if the government acts lawfully, for instance in the case of a temporary road closure.
